* New PON EDFA: With build-in Optical Switch, it supports dual CATV signal inputs to back up each other; Also the Built-in optical switch can be easily setting as manual or automatic through the buttons on front panel or network management;
Old PON EDFA: supports one CATV signal input only, no build-in optical switch function;
* New PON EDFA: Output Power of each port can be adjusted up to 0.5dBm or down to 4.0dBm through buttons on the control panel or through network management; For example, if the default output power is 20 dB each port, it can be adjust up to 20.5dB each port or down to 19dB,18dB,17dB or 16dB of each port as needed in the real network;
Old PON EDFA: The output power of each port CAN NOT be adjusted;
* NEW PON EDFA: The RF detecting port will be connected with TV for operators to real-time monitoring the signal quality in data-room; it will be more easier and convenient to check the signal quality on TV than using a power meters every time;
Old PON EDFA: There is no RF detecting port;
* New PON EDFA: Network management system supports both IE Brower Login by IP address and SNMP software network management or web management is both available by connecting RJ45 interface, which make it easier and convenient during installation and achieve real-time monitoring of the remote fiber amplifier for operators
Old PON EDFA: Network management system supports SNMP software only;
* With key switch for turning off the laser operating status
* Multiple outputs can be up to 128 outputs with built-in 1310nm/1490nm/1550nm WDM, Maximum output power up to 40dBm.
*Adopts original American new pump Laser JDSU,Oclaro..etc;
* Front panel LED displays full functions and fault alarms of the PON EDFA in working status.
* High qualified power supply can be 90V ~ 265V AC or -48V DC for options;
